This Project was to design a new visitors centre for Summerlee Heritage Park near Coatbridge Glasgow.  The site chosen was the bank of the Forth and Clyde canal. I chose to sink my ground level below the water level of the canal.  The building was hidden in the bank with the entrance from the road above being though a fissure in the hillside.  The organic shaped building was to be constructed from a series of varying spline shaped laminated wooden beams.  The structure was to be covered in grass with a large fissure like glazed membrane area.
